Architectural proposal for the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale 2018 at the Echigo-Tsumari Contemporary Museum of Art, Kinare in Japan.
A coffee-house serves the villagers their daily coffee, imported from outside Japan. The coffee grounds are stored in the walls of the hut, turned from waste product into material, and nutrient. A local product, the shiitake mushroom, grow from the grounds and become part of the organic makeup of the hut, a visitor from the forest.
